Check in and Watch the Welcome From President Gee

4:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

First things first. Please check in so we'll know who's attending, and then watch a short welcome video from WVU President E. Gordon Gee.

The Bakery: Behind the Scenes of the Flying WV Cookie

4:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Get a behind-the-scenes look at how we make our famous (and yummy) Flying WV cookies. You don't want to miss out on this one!

College of Education and Human Services Lecture: Everyone Needs a Danceucation

4:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Interested in teaching? Here’s your chance to go inside one of the College of Education and Human Services’ undergraduate teacher education programs. Experience an innovative class where students experience and experiment with learning through and with movement in a fun, safe and creative atmosphere.

Experience Honors: Honors College Meet and Greet

5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Meet and mingle with representatives from the Honors College, Office of Undergraduate Research and the ASPIRE Office. WVU is an R1 research institution with some incredible perks, and the resources we’re going to talk about are a big part of that. Our students have the opportunity to develop the hands-on skills and real-life experiences they need — outside the classroom — to be successful in their future careers.

The Masked Singers: Singing in the Time of COVID

6:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Kym Scott, director of choral activities, recognized the limitations of singing and performing in masks from the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. So she tapped into her prior life as a fashion designer to solve a problem unforeseen by non-entertainers. Discover how WVU's performance majors are continuing to make music during a pandemic.

TGIF with the Mountaineer Parents Club

6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Join the Mountaineer mascot, WVU cheerleaders, “The Pride of West Virginia” Mountaineer Marching Band and the Mountaineer Parents Club for a welcome to campus and to Discover WVU! You'll get the chance to experience and participate in some of our most beloved Mountaineer traditions. After a 15-minute welcome, this session will break out into four rooms:

Financial Aid Presentation

From WVU scholarships to federal student aid, we’ll cover everything you need to know about financial aid. Have more questions? You also can talk with our representatives at the Admissions Pop-Up Shop from 12-3:30 p.m.

Hear directly from our schools and colleges about the major (or majors) you’re interested in.

Biology: A Real Life 101

12:00 p.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Join Dr. Katrina Stewart for a home-style and hands-on approach to doing science. During this mock lab, you’ll learn about the Department of Biology’s introductory courses and see the scientific process in action — from experiment design and execution to presenting your findings, all while exploring your own interests and passions.

Admissions Pop-Up Shop

12:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Have a question about admissions or financial aid? Visit our pop-up office to ask questions, pay your academic deposit, learn about test-optional admission or meet individually with an admissions or financial aid representative.

Housing Pop-Up Shop

12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Our Housing and Residence Life leadership team is ready to talk about all things housing, so drop in! They can assist with general housing and student life questions, tell you about Living-Learning Communities and walk you through the application and assignment process. Even if you don't have specific questions, it’s a great opportunity to listen and learn more about how living in a residence hall gives you a great foundation for your time as a Mountaineer.

Want to know what it's really like in a residence hall? Our Resident Assistants are experts. Your RA will be one of the most important people you'll meet at WVU. They'll help you navigate life as a Mountaineer by providing insights on everything from how to get involved, improving your academic focus and meeting and making new friends.

Crime Scene 101: An Inside Look at WVU Forensics

2:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Join Professor Bob O'Brien for a lecture and a sneak peek behind the "scene" of a crime scene located inside our crime scene complex houses. Step into the world of a CSI as we join students documenting a mock crime scene. Get a feel for what you will have access to during your time with the Forensic and Investigative Science program at WVU.
