Adventure, Service and Wellness Activities

Sunday-Tuesday, Aug. 14-16
8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Meet other new Mountaineers and create deeper connections. These activities will help you explore West Virginia, engage with Morgantown area communities and develop self-care skills.

Student Organization Fair and Mountaineer MovieFest

Sunday, Aug. 14
6-10 p.m.

Head to the WVU Coliseum on Evansdale for an evening of entertainment! Start by exploring your options at the student organization fair from 6 to 7 p.m. Then grab a seat to watch the movie from 7 to 9 p.m.

Monday Night Lights

Monday, Aug. 15
7-10 p.m.

Experience what it means to be a Mountaineer! You'll have the opportunity to step foot on Mountaineer Field in Milan Puskar Stadium, sign your class flag, watch the Pride of West Virginia perform its pregame show, meet new friends and, of course, get your official class photo taken in the state of West Virginia.

Academic Sessions

Tuesday, Aug. 16

First-year undergraduate and transfer students will meet with faculty and administrators from their academic unit before jotting one note or listening to one lecture. Watch your MIX email on or about Wednesday, Aug. 10 for additional information from your college or school.

FallFest

Tuesday, Aug. 16
5:45 p.m.

It’s almost the first day of class, but first we’ll celebrate at FallFest to the tunes of Polo G, Dustin Lynch, Dirty Heads and Tay Money. Gates open at 5 p.m.

All WVU students with valid WVU student IDs are invited to attend the concert on the Evansdale Recreation Fields, as well as Mountaineer Midway, a retro-themed event around and inside the Student Recreation Center.

Graduate Student Welcome Picnic

Friday, Aug. 19
3-5 p.m.

Meet your peers and unwind as we head into the first weekend of the fall semester. All graduate and professional students, faculty and staff are invited to this picnic on the Mountainlair Plaza.

Coming Soon: Your Class Photo

Hey, freshmen and transfer students – don’t miss your class photo!

See you at Monday Night Lights

Your class photo will be taken at Monday Night Lights on Monday, Aug. 15 from 7-10 p.m. at Milan Puskar Stadium.

With help from "The Pride of West Virginia" Mountaineer Marching Band, you’ll create the West Virginia state outline on Mountaineer Field and say cheese – or Let’s Go! – as our drone captures your class photo.

Your class photo will be available here to download on Tuesday, Aug. 16.
