Residence Hall Move-in
Thursday-Saturday, Aug. 15-17
8:30 a.m.-6 p.m.
Welcome to your new campus home! First-year undergraduate students will move in to residence halls Aug. 15-17 during their scheduled time slot.
Welcome Week Cookouts
Saturday, Aug. 17
6-8 p.m.
All students with a meal plan are invited to grab a bite to eat at the Mountainlair Green or the Rec Center Fields! You'll need your WVU student ID to enter. Check the menu and plan to attend!

Find student groups that match your interests, from academic-focused clubs to groups dedicated to your favorite hobby. Afterward, you can join in evening activities from 7:30-9:30 p.m. on the downtown and Evansdale areas of campus.

First-year student event
Experience what it means to be a Mountaineer! You'll have the opportunity to sign your class flag, watch "The Pride of West Virginia" Mountaineer Marching Band perform its pregame show, meet new friends and, of course, get your official class photo taken in the state of West Virginia.
Academic Sessions
Tuesday, Aug. 20
First-year undergraduate and transfer students will meet with faculty and administrators from their academic unit. Watch your MIX email for information from your college or school.

Hey, freshmen and transfer students – don’t miss your class photo!
See you at Monday Night Lights
Your class photo will be taken at Monday Night Lights on Monday, Aug. 15 from 7-10 p.m. at Milan Puskar Stadium.
With help from "The Pride of West Virginia" Mountaineer Marching Band, you’ll create the West Virginia state outline on Mountaineer Field and say cheese – or Let’s Go! – as our drone captures your class photo.
Your class photo will be available here to download on Tuesday, Aug. 16.
