What is a Parent PLUS Loan?

Parent PLUS Loan

The Parent PLUS Loan is a credit-based, federal loan for parents of undergraduate students. The loan is in the parent's name for use for their student's educational expenses. Students may be able to apply for a portion of a PLUS loan if their parent is denied based on credit.
