When do classes begin and end?

Academic Calendar

The fall semester begins in mid-August and lasts through mid-December. Classes resume in early January for the spring term and run through early May. Summer courses are offered mid-May through early August.

Please refer to the academic calendar for exact start dates and for dates of spring and winter breaks.

Graduation

We hold two graduation ceremonies each year, one in May and one in December. Visit graduation.wvu.edu for exact dates and more information.
