Will applying test optional impact my ability to earn merit scholarships?

For incoming freshmen for 2022-23, WVU will offer merit scholarships to test optional admits provided they meet certain GPA benchmarks. However, students are encouraged to submit a test score to be considered for maximum scholarship eligibility. Scores may be submitted at a later date to qualify for a merit offer.

For transfer students, test scores are not required for admission or for merit scholarships. Transfer scholarships are based on the transfer GPA and the number of transferrable credits.
